Pepper Sand Homemade Popcorn

Light • Crunchy • Scotch Bonnet Salted

Ingredients

3 tbsp neutral oil (avocado, canola, or coconut)

 ½ cup popcorn kernels

 2 tbsp butter, melted

 ½–1 tsp Pepper Sand No.2™

 ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)

 1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)

½ tsp sugar (optional — for sweet-heat balance)

Method

1. Heat the Oil

Add oil to a large pot over medium-high heat. Drop in 3–4 kernels. When they pop, the oil is ready.

2. Pop the Corn

Add remaining kernels, cover, and shake the pot every 10–15 seconds. Remove from heat when popping slows to 2 seconds between pops.

3. Make the Pepper Sand Butter

Whisk melted butter with Pepper Sand No.2™, black pepper (optional), and sugar (optional).

4. Season & Serve

Pour popcorn into a large bowl. Drizzle with Pepper Sand butter. Toss to coat evenly and sprinkle extra Pepper Sand on top. Finish with nutritional yeast if desired.

5. Chef Notes

Use clarified butter for a richer, movie-theater style flavor.
